Laguna Beach Engagement session-Andrew & Vanessa

May 13, 2011 – 5:57 pm

I photograph many engagement sessions each year and it is tough trying to not only post all of our weddings but adding engagements is quite a bit more effort as well! But I though it would do it anyway!

Here is a sneak preview of Andrew and Vanessa who first off are super photogenic and they are soon getting married on July 30th this year in Orange County.  Melody Walker is their awesome wedding Planner and how lucky are they! We had a blast getting great images of them together and what a great way to get to know each other before the big day!

One thing I keep mentioning that having great makeup and hair done before your engagement session and especially on your wedding day is always a must! Also,  having them wear 2-3 outfits is a very nice way to soften and change their looks. I always recommend highly to stay away from just wearing white shirts! Adding colors makes a very suddle statement and keeps it looking fresh and unique each session! Here are some of my favorites…

Can’t beat the California Sunsets!

Gauree and Ramdev-featured in Ceremony Magazine

February 5, 2011 – 5:53 pm

Gauree and Ramdev had a beautiful Hindu wedding at The Hyatt Huntington Beach Resort and Spa. They are now featured in the current issue of Ceremony Magazine and we definitely wanted to feature them on our blog as well! A couple days before they also celebrated a Sangeet event with close friends and family. The wedding planner at this amazing event was the ever so nice Nikki Khan from Exquisite Events. She did a magnificent job putting this event together!

Also, we worked side by side with April from Robles video. We really enjoy working with April especially because she is the pro when it comes to South Asian events! She’s super nice too! Of course after a 2 hour ceremony the guest enjoyed lots of great  hor dourves awaiting what would be a fun night. The entertainment was Ajay from Kumba Entertainment. Ajay really knows is stuff and he keeps everyone on the dance floor all night long! The very colorful flowers were created by the one and only Nisie from Enchanted Florist. Wow, is what we all say when we see how she transforms her events.

Below are some of my favorite photos from their day. If any of you have been to a South Asian event you will know that there are literally thousands of photographs. I guess I could blog everyday of the week for a month with all the many great photos we have from this event. Congratulations to Gauree and Ramdev! You both were simply awesome!

Richard Nixon Library Wedding

January 28, 2011 – 6:38 pm

David and Yvonne’s beautiful wedding took place at The Richard Nixon Library. The Ceremony was held outdoors in their famous Rose garden followed by cocktails overlooking the meticulously landscaped grounds and extra long reflecting pool. The event was perfectly put together by one of my favorite wedding Planners, Gloria McCune from Grand Engagements. She always is on top of every detail and the couples really appreciate her professionalism and sweet personality!

The reception is also the big treat at this location. If you have not been here before you would be amazed by the White house East Room replica that seats up to 300 to 500 people. The room was very nicely decorated with just enough flowers provided by another great florist Jen B Floral Designs! Jennifer always does an amazing job with her flower color choices and designs!

Now David and Yvonne are living in Taiwan pursuing their career in the restaurant business. We’ll have to keep in touch and who knows, maybe some day will be there for a wedding! Congratulations to you both! Here are a few of my favorite images.

St Regis wedding-Tara and Jim

November 25, 2009 – 10:08 pm

I wanted to make sure we posted this awesome event! Jim and Tara shared a spectacular day at the St Regis resort for their wedding ceremony and reception. It was an intimate event with 30 of their closes friends and family. The wedding was put together by the one and only Lisa Simpson adding her magical touch.

The ceremony was held outdoors at the magnificent Botanical Lawn looking over the ocean into the sunset. The colorful flowers and bouquets matched the natural setting all designed by Amanda at Fantasy Florals. She always does a stunning job! Not to forget the Brides hair and makeup also beautifully created by the girls at Design Visage.

After the ceremony ended, the guests made their way to an indoor reception with lots of great things yet to come. I must also say, Tara and Jim were so nice to work with and they truly enjoyed every minute of their day. The guests as well really enjoyed the wonderful first class treatment at the St Regis. Plenty of food, lots of drinks and the cool sounds from Jeff at Moondance entertainment.

A Beautiful Sunset

This is what its all about!

Engagement session and more Blogging

September 2, 2009 – 5:45 pm

It’s been a very busy summer and it seems like yesterday when I posted my last blog but in fact the whole summer has gone by and I finally get to breathe and continue my “blogging” journey. I have many more to come especially for all the many great couples and weddings I have been so honored t0 be apart of! Thank you to all!

Here’s a great engagement session I wanted to be sure to post! Payal and Raj are getting married in India this December and there reception will take place early next year here in southern California. The best part is I photographed Payal (the bride) about 10 years ago. She came to me for a beautiful studio portrait for her “Arangatrum” which is a South Indian dance performance final.

During our engagement session we had such a great time capturing fun and romantic style photographs. We wanted to make sure we captured not only some traditional photos but also some magnificent images in there beautiful Indian attire. I look forward to there wedding day but mostly I am flattered to have met such a great couple and to be apart of there upcoming wedding! You guys make a perfect couple!!

Having fun

Beautiful eyes

They could be models!

Love the ocean shots at dusk!

Orange County Wedding in Pink

July 21, 2009 – 4:21 pm

I could not wait to to post this wedding because not only did I have such a great time with Marissa and Josh’s wedding but because the bride was so elegant yet colorful. Weekend after weekend I get to see beautiful brides and handsome grooms and they all look magnificent with the traditional styles of today. But this bride and groom were not only fashionably cool they were also such an awesome couple!! The wedding and ceremony was at the Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel over looking the sunset terrace with a perfect ocean front affair. The best part of the ceremony was watching the groom play the piano as his lovely bride made it down the aisle. Very romantic I might say! This event could not of went as perfect with the perfect planning of Lisa Simpson, Lisa Simpson Wedding Celebrations. Since this couple was both from San Jose, this was ultimately a destination wedding being held right here in Orange County California.

My Life

June 15, 2009 – 4:41 pm

Everyone who knows me knows that when it comes to summer weekends I am NOT available for personal outings, parties or even a day trip somewhere other than a church or perhaps a wedding venue of sort. So this I guess would be the bad news. Now the great news is, I truly enjoy what I do and I guess if hanging out at hundreds of weddings for over 2 decades must really mean I like hanging out with couples who are about to commit there life’s together. Lucky for me I get to witness and capture one of there biggest days. Pretty fun! So I thought I would show you a couple photos of what I look like most weekends.
